Note: Some of my friends are thinking I am Jai and he is Veeru.
That's completely wrong, I think you are considerate enough to give me some freedom of thought in writing. My friends, any of you don't have a girlfriend who is gorgeous and good looking like Basanti :D
I have a short story. I just want to know if this is a happy or sad ending story.
There were two friends. They had a unique friendship. The only words people ever heard from them were "Keep out of our business!". They were ready to do anything for each other. People were saying that this is another "Jai-Veeru" story in making. They had common friends and common enemies too. Jai was ready to fight anyone without a reason if Veeru had a reason and vice-versa . For them fun is only when they were together. They never cared anyone and anything else as if only two of them were sufficient to conquer the world. Everything seemed to be perfect for them.
Unfortunately after sometime it dint worked out as they wanted it to be. Alas! reality once again showed its true colors and made Jai realize that perfection is not possible. Veeru found Basanti. It was the beginning of end for their Utopian friendship. Unlike Sholay, Basanti made Veeru realize that money is very important or it should be spent only for veeru-basanti. Also Basanati said to Veeru that your time is only meant to be spent with me, now you are not a free man, we have to make future plans and that requires all your time. Initially Veeru refused to do so but after some time he gives up and informs Jai that this is how it is, please go and look for a girl you idiot. Jai feels frustrated and starts looking for a girl. He also gets trapped in one of the proposals and listens the same girlish worlds of wisdom and starts believing that he is born only to spend time with this girl. Utopian vision for their friendship was lost but both of them found their soul mate.

This is a happy ending story dude. both of them got the gals :D
yeah mate...its kinda hard to categorize the ending as sad or happy...both of them got and lost something. now the importance of that something will change from person to person and in my personal view, both of them lost something far more important than they got.
A few words of wisdom:
"The friendship that can cease has never been real."
@prabhash
For something to be real its not necessary that it will exist forever. IT may be that it was real when it was there and now its gone [:P]
Kuchh paane ke liye kuchh to khona hi padta hai...Wasie Jai kaun aur Veeru kaun?? Jo sabse obvious guess hai kya wo sahi hai??
@anurag
No, Obvious guess is not correct[:P] I am not gonna be in trouble to disclose who is Jai and who is Veeru [:D]
Oh i forgot to mention, to me this story looks like happy ending.
abe tum saale mujhe jai, veeru basanti sabke bare main maloom hai.. bas tum ye batao ki jai ko jo "julia roberts"(copying your choice from the comments of your previous blog) mili uska naam kya hai :P. mujhe bas usme interest hai
@ankit
I am not jai [:P] the story is completely work of fiction.
but if i have to reply later part of ur comment, julia roberts, keira knightly, Amrita Rao, Aishwarya rai sab mili lekin wo kahte hai na "sari achhi ladkiya, bewkoof ladko k saath ghumti hai". So i m still single [:D]
chor ki dari main tinka. Read my comment again.maine kab kaha tum jai ho. maine sirf female ko "julia roberts" se personify kiya.maine larki ki jagah julia likha.. aur main to ab bhi yahi kahta hoon.its not you.. but just inquisitive ki jai ko mili kaun
@ankit
You have the point [:P] I was just trying to be clear to others who don't know much about me [:P]
BTW, I don't have beard so tinka must be somewhere else.
I am an optimist to the core and I hope "jai ko Julia mil gai hogi"[:D]
ha ha
even comments are funny
Just want to know who inspired you for this blog?
Keep posting...
BTW I added your blog in my google reader..
@aniket
Thanks for the motivation and adding my blog to your Google reader list.
Inspiration!! There is a short story for it.
Well! I am a very unorganized individual with lots of free time. As far as I remember I have never been busy in my whole life and I have time for everything and some spare time :D In college, friends were there to go for chai and bird watching(we called it nayansukh :)Recently I was feeling too bored and Meghna just started her blog. I offered her to write something in her blog as a guest writer :) but she outrightly refused my proposal :(
I had a pretty active blog since 2006( I never popularized it though) and one day I deleted all my post because of some controversy. After Meghna's refusal I thought why not to revive my old blog. And thats how I started writing again. lets see how far it goes.
@all
One of my very close friend who confused himself to be veeru and myself as jai commented "ye kalia, sambha aur thakur bhi ha yahi par" :D sarcastic humor :P http://halcyonarun.blogspot.com/2008/10/sarcastic-humor.html
Wow I have been credited with the revival of your blog!!
You write well and hoping to see more of these posts.
I am glad i refused to make you the guest writer on my blog. :P
I am honoured to know that useless persons like me can make someone happy [:)]
"tumne accha to nahi kiya tha" lekin fir bhi "jo beet gai so baat gai". Thanx for appreciation. Hopefully, you will like future posts too.
Maine bhale hi acha nahi kiya ho.. Par bure kaam ka natija agar aisa ho toh insaan baar baar aisi galtiyan kare!!!
@meghna
Point taken, but I pretend to be a purist :P So end doesnt justify means for me :D.
but I respect your perspective and agree that It is virtually impossible to go through a day without using a negative mean to achieve a positive end.
@meghna
trying to impress you. You were right in rejecting my proposal.
lol.. Then you have been successful in your pursuits so far. I am certainly impressed with your literary skills... :P
Thanks! I am flattered :)
